Son of a Sicilian artisan immigrate, American footwear designer John Vincent ‘Vince’ Camuto was born in New York in 1936 and was best known for co-founding the women’s fashion brand Nine West. Following the 1999 sale of Nine West to Jones Apparel Group, Vince became CEO and Chief Creative Officer of a new fashion company, Camuto Group, maker of the Jessica Simpson brand.
In 2011, Vince Camuto launched his fragrance line to complement his Vince Camuto footwear, clothing and accessories brand which include apparel, handbags and menswear.
