Donna Karan founded DKNY in 1989. It was designed to be a more affordable diffusion line alongside her already established label, Donna Karan New York. The DKNY range includes underwear, jeans, shoes, baby clothing, menswear, watches and eyewear. DKNY is characterised by its simple, elegant and wearable designs. She specialises in making women’s work wear interesting and beautiful.
In 1992, DKNY released their first women’s fragrance, Donna Karan Eau de Parfum. This popular fragrance burst onto the scene like a breath of fresh air and became one of the best selling fragrances that year. Their first men’s fragrance was released in 1994, named DKNY Men. It is a strong, masculine and delightfully spicy scent.
Since then, the label has launched many fragrances that have been very well received by the public.
