Prada

Italian luxury fashion house Prada was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada and his brother Martino, initially selling leather goods and imported English steamer trunks and handbags. Mario Prada did not believe that women should have a role in business, and so initially prevented female family members from entering into his company. Ironically, Mario’s son had no interest in the business, so it was his daughter Luisa Prada who took the helm of Prada as Mario’s successor and ran the company for almost twenty years. Her daughter, Muiccia Prada joined the company in 1970 and she would go on to incorporate her ideas and implement her creativity into the house of Prada. She went on to marry her business manager Patrizio Bertelli and together they would change the course of the company.

Prada’s originality made it one of the most influential fashion houses, and the brand became a premium status symbol in the 1990s.

Today, with its headquarters is Milan, Prada specialises in leather handbags, travel accessories, shoes, ready-to-wear fashion, perfumes, cosmetics, jewellery, watches and other fashion accessories.

Prada’s latest fragrance evolved from the concept of an imaginary flower created especially for Candy. Prada Candy Florale is a fragrance with light airiness that puts the sparkle in her, followed by tender powdery notes that echo her Spring-like grace. A final whisper of warmth and honey reflects Candy’s rich sensuality.
