While the phenomenon of Bronzer and Tanning products has taken the cosmetic industry by storm (and believe me I’m still on that band wagon) my message today is ’Don’t forget to blush’.
Blush is a very powerful cosmetic product and has been used for centuries to recreate the natural, healthy glow of our blushing cheeks. Although I think the 80’s forgot about the ‘natural looking’ part. Blush can create a youthful glow to an otherwise flat foundation, Blush can add drama to your overall makeup look for a night out and Blush has the ability to enhance your cheek bones by adding a pop of rosy blush or a kiss of peachy.
There are some rules that some makeup artists follow when applying different colours of Blush. Pink blush is intended for the apples of our cheeks and peach is intended to be set higher towards the top of our cheek bones. However I’m not one to follow cosmetic rules, my intention is a reminder to use Blush in your daily makeup routine. As these winter months go by and your skin is left feeling dry and dull it could be time to add a new shade of Blush to your makeup collection to add a healthy glow back into your skin.
