Azzaro

Loris Azzaro’s was born in Tunisia of Italian parents in 1933. Azzaro always had a love of culture and luxury. At a young age he began his professional life by teaching French literature. He met his wife, Michelle during this time and was fascinated by her stunning clothing and jewellery. Her passion for all things beautiful inspired Azzaro and he decided to steer his career in a different direction by leaving teaching and moving to Paris to design couture.

Azzaro is best known for his stunning evening dresses. His signature colours include black, gold and silver. Azzaro was fascinated by the ability of metallic colours to enhance and accentuate parts of the feminine form and catch light.

He launched his first fragrance in 1975 and in 1996 released Chrome, this remains one of the best-selling fragrances in the world.
