How To Clean Beauty Brushes

Cleaning beauty brushes can be easily overlooked but this process is important to ensure your brushes are free of bacteria, dirt and other nasties. If you wear makeup and use brushes regularly, try to clean your brushes weekly. Below is all the information you need to keep your brushes in tip-top condition, it's easy!

1. Prepare a bowl of warm water

2. Pour a small amount of shampoo onto the bristles and with your forefinger and thumb gently work the liquid into the brush

3. Let the brushes soak for 5-10 seconds

4. Hold each brush under cold water to rinse any remaining product and to seal the bristles. You may need to repeat the above steps if your brush is in need of a good clean.

5. Remould any misshapen brushes

6. Leave brushes to dry. It is preferable to leave brushes on a downward slope to prevent the glue loosening.

Although it seems like a chore, if you put aside a little bit of time to clean your beauty brushes each week your complexion will reflect your hard work!
