Kenneth Cole

In 1982 shoe designer Kenneth Cole took the unorthodox step of renaming his company from Kenneth Cole Incorporated to Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. in order to obtain a parking permit usually reserved for production companies so he could sell shoes from a truck in midtown Manhattan instead of at the usual New York trade shows. This stroke of ingenuity and resourcefulness enabled him to stand out from the crowd, sell over forty thousand pairs of shoes in two days and was the birth of the brand.

Creating fragrances for both men and women since 2002, a favourite is the woody aromatic for men, Mankind. Aromatic thanks to notes of cardamom, tarragon leaf and ginger, the woody heart of cedar, vetiver and cinnamon provides a warm, masculine sensuality. Strong yet sensitive, and accomplished yet humble, Mankind is a bold fragrance for the modern man who is defined only by his own expectations, much like Cole himself.
