Fashion designer, Marc Jacobs was born in New York City in 1963. Like many other influential fashion designers, such as Anna Sui, he attended Parsons School of Design where he fine tuned his skills. In 1986, he designed his first collection under his self named label. This collection received rave reviews and he was consequently acknowledged with one of the fashion industry’s most prestigious awards, The Council of Fashion Designers of America Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent. Jacobs is the youngest designer ever to receive this award.
Jacobs is known for keeping the fashion world on their toes and always being a little bit left of centre. He was a strong influence in the grunge feminine look that rocked the 90s and saw women across the world donning ripped jeans and layering edgy pieces.
The world of Marc Jacobs perfumes is fun, alluring and sexy. His feminine fragrances, including Lola and Daisy are typified by their playful charm, yet warm undertones. Jacobs’ masculine fragrances, such as Bang and Bang Bang are electrifying and energizing. Jacobs has mastered contemporary sophistication through his collection of fine fragrances.
